Hello guys. In the interest of cleaness, I would suggest you use the (not)self-explanatory abbr. "CSR" less, and instead write it out: Corporate Social Responsibility - at least when introducing yourselves and your mission and goals. First time I came across it (on another one of you blogs I think) I had to look it up. It would serve your purpose better if you didn't use your specific KP abbreviations as much.. If this reaches you, I would be glad if you inform me of the site where most of your material is made public (don't know if this blog is the one you use generally now). Cheers, Thomas
What we do To document “Stories of Sustainability in Action”. A study of the current status and development of sustainability in Shanghai.
Brief definition of what sustainability embodies to us Our use of the word sustainability encompasses both sustainability and CSR
Sustainability Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Financially Environmentally Socially Culturally
CSR Is in play when organizations consider the interests of a society by taking responsibility for the impact of their activities on consumers, employees, shareholders, communities, and the environment in all aspects of their operations. This obligation is seen to extend beyond the statuary obligations to comply with legislation and sees organisations voluntarilly taking further steps to improve the quality of life for employees and their families as well as for the local community and society at large.
What do we want to influence We aim to promote the incentive for businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals in Shanghai to invest in CSR and sustainable business solutions.
Our focus is to find best practise cases of sustainability in action in Shanghai and document and promote these initiatives. We want to explore examples of efforts made on all levels of society and forward our findings to the cooperate world through Globe Forum’s event in Stockholm, Sweden, and potentially others at a later stage.
